Frequently asked questions

Everything a financial planner wants to know before trying FinancIA — privacy, compliance and subscription.

Data hosted in Canada · Law 25 compliant

Privacy & Quebec Law 25

Where is my data hosted?
Exclusively on Azure Canada Central. None of your data passes through American or international servers — zero transit outside Canada, with no exceptions and no cross-border regional failover.
Who can access my recordings?
Only you. Raw transcripts are deleted automatically after 30 days. No FinancIA employee accesses your data without your explicit consent.
Does FinancIA comply with Quebec Law 25?
Yes: 100% Canadian hosting, explicit client consent before any recording, a privacy impact assessment (EFVP) being prepared for filing with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI), the right to erasure on request, and a complete audit log.
How long are my transcripts kept?
Thirty (30) days. After that, the raw transcript is deleted automatically and irreversibly. Only the final report you generated stays in your account.
Can I request deletion of my data?
Yes, at any time. From Settings → Delete my account, or by writing to dpo@financiaqc.ca. Deletion covers your account and all associated data.

AMF compliance & professional use

Does FinancIA meet the AMF's AI guideline?
FinancIA is built to meet the requirements of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) guideline on the use of AI, which takes effect on May 1, 2027: documented governance, a model registry, human oversight and traceability.
Do FinancIA reports replace professional judgment?
No. FinancIA is a drafting aid. The Financial Planner (Pl.Fin.) remains fully responsible for the final content, for verifying it, and for its regulatory compliance.
Is FinancIA approved by the AMF or the IQPF?
No formal approval from the AMF or the IQPF is required for this kind of tool. FinancIA is nonetheless built from the ground up to align with their standards and compliance requirements.
Can I record a client without their consent?
No. Free and informed client consent before any recording is mandatory under Quebec Law 25. FinancIA helps you obtain and document that consent.
Is my data used to train AI models?
Never. Your recordings, transcripts and reports are never used to train or improve artificial intelligence models.
